Private Dog Enrichment in North York 🐾
One dog. One trainer. A whole session built around doing something fun together.
Our private enrichment sessions give you and your dog the opportunity to explore new activities without the pressure or distractions of a group setting.
Choose from snuffle and scavenger hunts, agility games, scent detection, trick training and introductory water activities at our North York facility.
You stay and participate throughout the session, while I guide you and adapt the activities to your dog’s experience, confidence and interests.
Why Private Enrichment?
Enrichment doesn’t have to mean handing your dog a puzzle and walking away.
These sessions are designed to give dogs opportunities to sniff, search, move, learn, problem-solve and try new things alongside their person.
Some activities are completely recreational, while others introduce skills you can continue developing over multiple sessions.
You don’t need any previous experience. Each session can be adjusted based on what your dog already knows and what they seem to enjoy.

"We need more trainers like Carlos! Carlos is super friendly and patient. You can tell that he truly loves dogs and wants the very best for each one he works with. Before I started classes with Carlos, I was answering his fun Instagram dog training quizzes and ended up asking him some follow up questions.
What really stood out to me was how open and responsive he was even before I signed up for classes. He was already giving me training advice and tips and I wasn’t even a client yet!
That left such an amazing first impression on me and I could tell that he was in dog training not for the money, but to really help support dogs and their owners. We travelled all the way from Richmond Hill to see Carlos, and it’s worth the drive! We noticed our puppy is so much better on walks now and more comfortable in outside environments. Carlos, if you ever decide to open something in Richmond Hill, you know Ebi and I will be first to book!!"

FAQs
Do I get to stay with my dog?
Yes. These are private, owner-attended sessions. You’ll stay and participate with your dog throughout the experience.
Does my dog need previous experience?
No. Beginners are welcome for all of our private enrichment sessions. Activities can be introduced from the beginning or adapted for dogs who already have experience.
Can I book more than one session?
Absolutely. Some experiences, particularly scent detection, trick training and agility games, can progressively build from one session to the next. Other experiences, like our Snuffle & Scavenger Hunt, can simply be changed between visits so your dog has something new to explore.
Are these sessions suitable for reactive or nervous dogs?
Because these sessions are private, there will not be another client dog participating alongside yours. This can make them a great option for dogs who benefit from having more space or fewer distractions. If your main goal is to work specifically on reactivity, fear or another behaviour concern, however, a Private Training Session may be the better place to start.
Are there size restrictions?
Most of our private enrichment sessions are available to dogs of all sizes. Private Agility Games are currently limited to dogs weighing 3–25 lbs because of the agility equipment available at the facility.
Activities in our Intro to Swimming Session are adapted based on each dog’s size and use shallow-water equipment rather than a full-size swimming pool.
What’s the difference between the Snuffle & Scavenger Hunt and Scent Detection?
The Snuffle & Scavenger Hunt is a free-form enrichment experience where your dog can sniff, forage, search and explore without having to perform a specific task.
Scent Detection is a training activity where we teach your dog to search for and identify a particular target scent. If you simply want to give your dog a fun sensory experience, choose the Snuffle & Scavenger Hunt.
If you want to teach your dog an ongoing new skill, choose Scent Detection.
Is the Intro to Swimming Session an actual swimming lesson?
Not in the traditional sense.
We do not currently have a full-size swimming pool. This session focuses on introducing dogs to water gradually using shallow-water activities and a kiddie-style pool where appropriate.
The goal is to help your dog become more comfortable around water before expecting them to swim.
Is this the same as Private Dog Training?
No. Private Enrichment Sessions focus on recreational activities, learning new skills and exploring different experiences together.
Private Dog Training is better suited to specific training goals or behaviour concerns such as leash walking, recall, barking, reactivity, manners or other everyday challenges.
