Understanding puppy behaviour
Puppies aren't born knowing how to navigate our homes, schedules or expectations. They're learning how the world works while developing physically, socially and emotionally. Behaviours such as mouthing, chewing, jumping and exploring are often normal parts of puppy development, even when they're inconvenient for us.
My approach focuses on helping you understand what your puppy needs, setting up routines that encourage success, and using positive reinforcement to teach useful skills. We'll work on creating positive experiences, appropriate outlets for natural behaviours, and communication that your puppy can understand without intimidation, punishment or leash corrections.

FAQs
When should I start training my puppy?
You can begin helping your puppy learn as soon as they join your family. Training at this stage isn't about drilling obedience cues. It's about positive experiences, appropriate routines, understanding their communication and rewarding the behaviours you'd like to see more often.
Can we work on multiple puppy challenges?
Absolutely. Puppy Start isn't restricted to one behaviour. We'll prioritize what matters most, while considering how sleep, enrichment, social experiences and everyday routines may be contributing to what you're seeing.
Is the six-week puppy course included?
No. The group puppy course is a separate booking option with its own age requirements and schedule. Puppy Start is designed around private, individualized support.
Can my family participate?
Yes! I encourage everyone involved in raising your puppy to participate whenever possible. Consistent, positive communication between family members can make a big difference.
What if my puppy's needs change during the program?
That's normal. We'll adapt our training priorities to your puppy's development while keeping the included session entitlements and overall program structure clear.
