Private Dog Training in North York 🐕
Get one-on-one help with your dog at the PMEZ North York facility.
These 1-hour private sessions give you dedicated time with Carlos to work on your dog's individual training goals in a controlled indoor environment.
This is also a practical setup for dogs who are very sensitive or reactive with having guests come directly to their home.
Your Dog. Your Goals!
There isn't a predetermined lesson plan.
We'll focus on the skills or challenges that are most useful for you and your dog and adjust the session based on what we see as we work together.
Common goals we work on:
🐾 Loose-leash walking
📣 Recall
🧘 Settling & impulse control

"Carlos was very kind and non judgemental off the bat.
He listened to my concerns and provided a lot of tips and tricks to help. After just an hour and a half of private training, I’ve already seen an improvement in my puppy.
The training focused on strengthening my puppy’s decision making which inevitably corrected unwanted behaviours. I found this approach very effective as it focused on the positive behaviours which allowed my puppy to remain stress free yet engaged.
Along with the training, my puppy loved Carlos so we will definitely be rebooking."

FAQs
Is this a group class?
No. Although North York clinic hours appear on our schedule at predetermined times, your booking is a private 1-hour session reserved for you and your dog.
Why are the times predetermined?
North York private sessions are offered during scheduled clinic hours rather than through an open appointment calendar. This lets you see exactly when Carlos is available at the facility and choose the session that works best for you.
Can my family attend?
Yes. Family members who are involved in your dog's training are welcome to participate so everyone can learn and practise together.
Is this only for existing clients?
No. New and existing clients can book private training at the North York facility.
What's the difference between this and an in-home private session?
North York sessions take place at our facility, while in-home sessions allow Carlos to work with you in your dog's everyday environment.
What can we work on during a North York private session?
Sessions are personalized around you and your dog. We can work on skills such as loose-leash walking, recall, settling, impulse control, puppy skills, everyday manners, training games and other goals that can be appropriately addressed at the facility.
If you're unsure whether your particular concern would be better addressed at the facility or in your home, contact us and we'll help you choose the most appropriate option.
What training methods do you use?
I use positive reinforcement/reward-based, evidence-based and force-free training. I do not use prong collars, shock or e-collars, leash corrections, intimidation, or dominance-based training.
We'll focus on positive reinforcement, management, clear communication, and work at a level where your dog can successfully learn.
