I’ve been struggling for some time to find a trainer that focuses on redirecting vs punishing. "Peanut and I absolutely love this company! Peanut is a 5pound chihuahua and is usually afraid of big dogs. Their dedicated play sessions for little dogs (5-15 pounds) provides a safe and welcoming environment for him to socialize and have fun. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s clear they genuinely care about all the pets that come. I also appreciate that they have occasional markets that feature small vendors, it’s a great way to help out local small businesses and to discover cool new stuff for your pet! "The best thing to happen to my dog, Linus! Lil’o’s Club provides regular play sessions in a fun and safe (indoor) space for little pups to run around off-leash and play. Carlos and crew always supervise each play session and offers training tips and advice. "We had been longing for an indoor dog park for the days that our temperature-sensitive Italian greyhound puppy gets too cold to play outside. I found out about the indoor play sessions, and she absolutely loved it. There were tons of little dogs around her size and there was a lot of space to zoom around inside. Everyone was super friendly, and the coordinators themselves were very kind and remembered her name after just once learning it. I felt they really cared about her and the other dogs. "We are so happy to have found Carlos! We have been struggling with our sweet Yorkie-poo for some time with behavioural issues. We invited Carlos into our home for a very informative 1.5 hour session. He was able to make an assessment through some questions and observations. He cleared up our confusion as to why we were seeing some of these behaviours and he put us to work right away with some suggestions and guidance. We have seen improvement after the one visit. Carlos recommended some next steps including some 1:1 work with himself and some other dogs. Our dog has had one drop off session and again we are seeing improvement. Carlos is very kind, calm and gentle - we love his approach. He has earned our trust and our dogs which as anyone with a pet knows, they are family and you want others to love them and care for them as much as you do. "We first met Carlos back in Oct 2022, where Mocha had his first private session. There were so many things we wanted to work on, and Carlos was able to address them all. It all came down to an important tip, which was ‘to provide Mocha with a good balance of physical and mental enrichment, as well as his need to socialize’. He recommended us to join Lil’o’s Club as a way to better socialize Mocha. Since then Mocha has joined Lil’o’s Club which has been an amazing opportunity for him to socialize. Mocha was a shy and nervous pup who would initially sit in the corner or in our laps, circling the perimeters of the room to say hi to pup parents, often not wanting to interact with other pups. However, after attending several play session, he has started to initiate play and would do a few play bows. Carlos and Angela are so knowledgable and experienced on how to tackle unwanted behaviour, encourage the behaviour we want to see in our furry friends, as well as encouraging socialization and mental enrichment through their puppy play sessions. "We had a fun, educational experience on our first playtime session with Lil’o’s Team. Carlos & his team were guiding Coco while she walks around the play area and familiarizing herself with other small dogs like her. We thought that Coco just randomly barks because she gets easily mad at everything or everyone, but we learned from Carlos that Coco is a shy dog & that she still gets overwhelmed with everything she sees that are new to her, items, the people or other dogs around her. Carlos is great in explaining & sites best examples that helped us (mom & dad) understand Coco better. Just on our first training session, he made us realize how me & my husband need to be trained more than Coco. Hahaha! We learned better ways on how to handle & care for our baby Coco & prevent her from barking a lot.
